With the rapid urbanization in Lagos, Lagosians are experiencing a more hectic lifestyle. There is a need for more green spaces for recreation during the not so busy weekends. Access to vegetated areas such as parks, open spaces, and playgrounds has been associated with better perceived general health, reduced stress levels, reduced depression and more. Lufasi Park

Lufasi an acronym for Lekki Urban Forest and Animal Sanctuary Initiative provides one of the most enjoyable places to spend some time away from the city fumes and breath richly, perfumed by numerous plant species that thrive here. Don’t forget to ask for freshly tapped palm wine.

Lekki Conservation Centre
One
of Lagos largest green area, extending over a span of 78-hectare
(190-acre) .There is leafy lanes for walking and lawns for relaxing and
enjoying a picnic. It’s a good place for children too. The Savannah area
or habitat of the reserve has open fields, gazebos and sheds for
relaxation or for small or large group picnics
The boardwalk enables visitors to explore and view nature and wildlife. Off the boardwalk, there are a couple of bird hides for avid birders to observe birds in the open swamp areas. About 21 meters high up in the sky is a tree house where tourists can have a panoramic view of the reserve and also a canopy walk, the longest in Africa.

Lakowe Lakes and Golf Resort

If you are looking for a charming wonderland for the whole family to visit, come to Lakowe. 35km drive from Lagos, this green lush vegetation can be a welcome sight. It is worth the visit, with a lake, lush palm groves, spa, sports facilities, 18-hole championship golf course, and a Corporate Lodge .This is a perfect getaway place.

Freedom Park-a former colonial prison-turned park and concert venue is a great space to relax and play peek-a-boo , with beautiful fountain and green areas that children and parents can explore and enjoy together.

Lagoon front
There
is one perfect spot for sunset in Lagos-The Lagoon front. On a
beautiful evening you can get to see sunsets over the third mainland
bridge, a rare beauty and awesome evening gift. There are canoes at the
side of the Lagoon,one can get in and paddlers take you to the other
side of the front. Other charms here includes the cool evening breez, a
pathway for a stroll, a picnic or a jog.

Muri Okunola
Extensive, elegant and full of shady glades and a beautiful fountain. It serves monthly as a wonderful place for musical concerts. Also a good place to buy art souvenirs.

JJT Park-
An acronym for Johnson Jakande Tinubu, is a large area opened some times last year. Get your music box, pack some food and head straight away to this place.

Jibowu Recreational Park
Opened this year’s October, the small is replete wih a fountains,gazebos and a nice walk way -it is divided in to two areas-An area under the bridge and the other called the media garden.

Ndubuisi Kanu Park-
The ambiance and the coolness of nature in this park makes it a must visit when you find yourself in Ikeja. The huge space present a playing ground for the kids to run around.. You can’t come in with your food

Gani Fawehinmi Garden, Ojota
A lush small green garden with an aesthetics view along the Ojota-Ketu road.The park is in memory of the great legal icon and activist Gani Fawehinmi.
